GhostDrop uses client-side AES-256-GCM encryption. Your files are encrypted in your browser before they ever reach our servers. The decryption key lives only in the URL fragment (the part after #), which is never transmitted to the server.
The server sees only encrypted blobs — no filenames, no file types, no contents. This is called a zero-knowledge architecture.
